Microblading

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows by creating natural-looking hair strokes. The procedure involves using a manual hand tool with ultra-fine needles to deposit pigment into the skin, mimicking the look of real eyebrow hairs.

Unlike traditional tattooing, microblading does not penetrate as deeply into the skin, which allows for a softer, more natural appearance. The results typically last between 12 to 24 months, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.

Benefits of Microblading:

✔ Natural-looking brows – Enhances shape, fullness, and definition.
✔ Saves time – Eliminates the need for daily eyebrow makeup.
✔ Customizable – Tailored to suit individual face shapes, brow preferences, and skin tones.
✔ Low maintenance – Requires only occasional touch-ups to maintain.

Who is Microblading For?

Microblading is ideal for those with sparse, thinning, or uneven brows, or anyone looking to achieve a fuller, well-shaped eyebrow appearance. It works well on most skin types, but individuals with oily skin may require more frequent touch-ups.

Microblading Healing Process & Aftercare

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that requires proper aftercare to ensure the best results. Here’s what you need to know about the healing process and aftercare tips to maintain beautiful, long-lasting brows.

Healing Process: What to Expect

The healing process typically lasts 4-6 weeks, during which your brows will go through different stages. Here’s a general timeline:

✅ Days 1-2: Brows appear bold and darker than expected due to excess pigment. The area may feel slightly tender.
✅ Days 3-7: Light scabbing begins, and brows may feel dry or itchy. DO NOT pick the scabs!
✅ Days 7-14: Brows may appear patchy or uneven as the scabs flake off. This is normal!
✅ Days 14-28: Pigment settles, and brows start to look more natural and even.
✅ Week 4-6: Final healed results! A touch-up may be needed to perfect any faded areas.

Microblading Aftercare Tips

✔ Keep brows dry for the first 24-48 hours – Avoid water, sweat, and steam to prevent pigment from fading prematurely.
✔ Apply recommended aftercare balm – Use a light layer of healing ointment (if advised by your artist) to keep brows hydrated.
✔ Avoid touching, scratching, or picking – Let scabs fall off naturally to avoid patchy healing.
✔ No makeup or skincare on brows – Avoid applying foundation, creams, or exfoliants on the brow area for at least 10 days.
✔ Avoid direct sun exposure – UV rays can cause pigment to fade faster. Always use SPF once fully healed.
✔ Skip pools, saunas, and heavy sweating – Keep brows away from chlorinated water and excessive sweating for at least two weeks.
✔ Follow up with a touch-up session – A 4-6 week touch-up is crucial to perfect any faded areas and ensure long-lasting results.
